1 Responsible Parties and Data Protection Officer

2 Description and Categories of Data
The form records your registration for the BITS inauguration event to a database. Additionally, the date and time of your registration are stored. The data is also sent to the email address getintouch@bionic-intelligence.org and saved in a local Excel file at the Institute for Modelling and Simulation of Biomechanical Systems at the University of Stuttgart.
The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be completed. We require your name and an email address to be able to contact you.
3 Purpose
The data collected through this form is used to process and confirm your registration and to provide you with any updates regarding potential changes to the event.
4 Legal Basis
The legal basis for collection and storage of data in the marked mandatory fields is Art. 6 para.1 lit. E, in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 3 of the General Data Protection Regulations DS-GVO in conjunction with §4 State Data Protection Act LDSG (Baden-Württemberg).
5 Recipients of Personal Data
The recipients of the personal data collected through the registration form are employees of the Institute for Modelling and Simulation of Biomechanical Systems at the University of Stuttgart, responsible for organising the event.
For budgetary reasons, the budget department of the University of Stuttgart receives a list of participants for catering allocations.
6 Storage Period
• The registration data is automatically deleted from the database six months after submission
• The locally stored table version of the data will be deleted four weeks after the event.
• The list of participants held by the budget department is stored with the budget documents for 10 years.
7 Consequences of Non-Disclosure, Right to Object, and Data Deletion Options
The mandatory fields are required for registration. If these fields are not completed, we will be unable to process your registration.
